Ralik Packaging engaged SCM Plus consultants late in the game. With the new distribution center construction well on the way, Ralik’s management team worried about the new facility’s ability to provide sufficient primary pick locations to accommodate the strong SKU proliferation factor.

SCM Plus consultants joined the project team and provided guidance, expertise and a practical approach to perform a “preslot” analysis. The results of the analysis were then used to allocate each SKU to a slot type and location that took into account its velocity and cubic volume.
